Organizers had to held the events in the late evening, cause it was terrible heat in afternoon.

Event 1. Truck Pull with rope - two jeeps with passengers, total weight was 6 tons. Manfred Hoeberl showed the best time – 29.64 seconds. Magnus Ver Magnusson was some slower – 33.64 seconds, and Gerritt Badenhorst took the third place with 34.03 sec.

Event 2. Samson’s Barrels: there were two 100 kg barrels on the small truck. Athletes had to lift the car and carry it to the distance using the handles (like a wheelbarrow). Riku Kiri won the event with 14.26 sec. Magnusson and Hoeberl were very close, but Hoeberl was better with 16.10 sec.

Event 3. Rocks lift for max weight: 100-120-130-135 kg, 90 sec time limit for each attempt. Magnusson was the record holder in this event with 130 kg, but this time Gerritt Badenhorst set a new WR with 135kg and won the event.

DAY 2.

Event 1. Car Walk (like a Yoke). Look how spectacular was Namibian athlete’s  Car Walk (25 min 04 sec video). There was the main battle between two leaders – Hoeberl and Magnusson. They were very close but suddenly Hoeberl dropped the car. It was a good chance for Magnus and he used it. Icelander won with 11.73 sec. His main rival finished with 13.60 sec and Riku Kiri was third with 14.76 sec.

DAY 3.

Event 2. Hercules Hold. Athletes had to compete in the evening but it was a terrible storm, so it was postponed to the next day. Well, there were golden ingots (not real) on the Giant weighing scales, 45 kg each. Riku Kiri was the best with 53.55 sec, Forbes Cowan showed second time – 52.64 sec, and Magnusson finished third with 43.15 sec.

Event 2. Deadlift for max weight. There were two transparent cages full of coins. Gerritt Badenhorst won the event with 440 kg, Magnusson finished with 430 kg, and Riku Kiri – with 420 kg.

Event 3. Pull-Push. Riku Kiri was the winner, Manfred Hoeberl was second and Forbes Cowan was third.

The Final event. Atlas Stones: Strongmen had to carry the stones for some meters, get round the platform and put the stones into it. Riku Kiri was third with 35.6 sec. And the battle Magnusson- Hoeberl was too dramatic as always. Icelander finished with 29 sec, Austrian lost just a split second.

So, Magnus Ver Magnusson became the World’s Strongest Man in the second time in his career.
